Why an Adoption Fund?
Because every child
deserves a loving "forever" family.
After
suffering through years of longing for a child of our own, we finally
filled our dream when we adopted our son in October of 2006. Now we'd
like to help other "expecting" parents fill their hearts and homes with
love as we have by offering a little financial help during the adoption
process.
How
the Fund works:
Beginning
Spring 2008, Meant To Be Babies will begin offering monies in our
adoption fund to one lucky *family. This family will need to meet
certain guidelines, including showing financial need. No purchase from Meant To Be
Babies is necessary to apply, but this family must
already be "in the process" of adopting a child Internationally or
Domestically (child chosen, all paperwork filed with country, lawyer
available). Monies donated
will differ each year (based on profits, number, and need of
applicants) and
will be transferred directly to the family's lawyer for disbursement.
Any remaining funds awarded but not used by the family for the adoption
will be considered a gift for the new family. Winning family will be
required to submit a photo of themselves with the new baby/child for
promotional purposes and give a short, written account about the
process, as well.
How do I
apply?
Print
and fill out the following form (requires MS Word and a printer). Mail
it directly to Meant To Be Babies
Nursery via snail mail:
You will be notified if awarded. Non-winners are not notified,
but you may inquire by contacting us via email or phone after the award
date. Winners will be announced on the website.
*The
words "family" and "couple" are not meant to imply that we do not
donate to other types of families. We do not discriminate
against
anyone who is interested in adopting, so single applicants may still
apply.
