I've always loved babies and dolls, so it's only natural that I found my first reborn while browsing eBay for dolls a few years ago. I fell in love with the art, but like most reborners, my first attempts at reborning did not turn out as wonderful as I had hoped. It's taken much practice and perfecting of my own techniques to accomplish what I have today, and I continue to learn something new with every new baby. I strive for realism and beauty, relying on photos of real newborns and preemies as examples. I also share with and learn from a huge group of friends who also reborn and newborn. Ultimately, I want every new Mommy and Daddy to be as proud of their new baby when it arrives at their home as I am when I put it up for adoption.  

I have begun sculpting my own babies, and I do occasionally do custom orders--sculpting and reborning. BUT before you contact me about custom orders, keep in mind that reborning is a time consuming process. The creation of one baby, whether newborned or reborned, can take quite some time (time estimates vary depending on details and doll used). In addition, it is NOT my only occupation. I am proud mom to a 3-year old boy (which should say a lot!), a freelance writer (I'm a published children's author and I'm now writing for Secrist Doll Company, too. You can find my articles on their website and in their tutorial guides), and a full-time student working toward my MA in English Literature. I'm also a maternity/newborn/child photographer. I do occasionally have time for custom projects, but do not expect miracle births overnight. I incorporate a lot of time, love, and attention into every detail of my dolls. It's well worth it in the end, but only for those who have the patience to wait for their child to be "born." Then again, I promise, it won't take 9 months!
